Metrolink 3011 calls at Didsbury Village on an East Didsbury to Rochdale service in April 2015. Didsbury railway station, previously just beyond the bridge, closed in 1967 but rail borne services returned 46 years later with the opening of the East Didsbury tram line in 2013.
