A shed visit to St. Margaret's on Sunday 4th July 1965 produced one particularly unexpected 'cop', Kingmoor 9F No. 92009 which was stabled in the open on the south side of the shed building. Although unusual, this wouldn't have been a unique occurrence because at least sixteen 12A 9Fs are known to have worked over the Waverley route and these would all have visited St. Margaret's for servicing after bringing their freights into Millerhill Yard. The other possibility is that Motherwell shed might have purloined a visiting loco for a Mossend to Millerhill freight but as the loco is facing in the right diction for setting off south on the Monday morning I would regard this as less likely.
