Freyung
Solar energy is much in evidence across Germany, but rarely on railway rolling stock! The Freyung terminus of the Iltztalbahn is seen here on 21st June, with a single-unit Waldbahn railcar soon to depart for Passau. The passenger service is summer weekends only, and the photographer was unable to establish how this operation - and the branch itself (with no evident freight traffic) - manages to survive.
