Darlington Shed
Final journey. Ex-NER Q7 0-8-0 63461 stands face to face with a WD Austerity in the works reception sidings alongside Darlington shed, thought to be in early 1963. All 15 of the powerful Q7s had been withdrawn from Tyne Dock shed in November and December 1962 following their replacement by BR Standard class 9F 2-10-0s on the Tyne Dock - Consett iron ore trains. 63461 was cut up in North Road scrapyard during March 1963.
