Darlington Shed
A pair of Thompson L1 2-6-4 tanks, both built in the Darlington works of Robert Stephenson & Hawthorn, languish in the sidings alongside Darlington shed in early 1963. Withdrawn from Colwick shed at the end of 1962, locomotives 67767 and 67780 were both disposed of in the nearby BR works scrapyard during the first half of 1963.
