Darlington Shed
A pair of Thompson L1 2-6-4 tanks, nos 67780 and 67787, both built by Robert Stephenson and Hawthorn, Darlington and both eventually withdrawn by BR from Colwick shed at the end of 1962. The locomotives are seen here in the disposal siding alongside Darlington shed in early 1963 awaiting transfer to the nearby works scrapyard for cutting up.
