The signalbox at Alrewas, which controls a level crossing on a minor road, marks the start of a short single line section on the line from Lichfield to Wichnor Junction. The station at Alrewas was just behind the camera but all trace has been removed since its closure in 1965. The line is now used for freight movements and also by Voyagers running to and from the nearby Barton-under-Needwood depot. [Ref query 34665]
