Extract from London Midland timetable of 1964 showing the sparse service between Aberystwith and Lampeter in South West Wales. This was the final appearance for the line, which was scheduled to close in February 1965. As a result of flood damage near Llanilar passenger services on the northern section ceased in December 1964 with the southern section following as planned although milk and local coal trains continued until as late as 1973.
