On the public side of the fence a short distance west of Buckshaw Parkway station I discovered what looks like the remains of the old ROF Chorley Up Platform. The road bridge in the background carries Central Drive over the railway, just as it did when ROF Chorley was operational. The position of these platform supports is consistent with what I have been able to see on air photos from the 1960s. Any attempt to do this from old mapping is futile as the Ordnance Survey did not mark up such sites. See image 20909
