Rufford
My attempt to recreate the Mark Bartlett photo see image 53470 has been thwarted by the vegetation. Here a Preston to Ormskirk shuttle crosses the Leeds Liverpool Canal (Rufford Branch) just south of Rufford station. The bridge also forms an occupation crossing known as Canal Bridge Crossing. While this was a Sunday and there isn't normally any train service on a Sunday, 28 August 2016 was an exception with a special timetable being used in connection with the Ormskirk Motorfest.
