Bitumen tankers in the sidings near the Lancashire Tar Distillers and Totalfina plants at Preston Dock in 1992. In 2016 bitumen is still being delivered to the plant by rail but the Ribble Steam Railway museum and workshops occupy the land to the left of the fence. The line trailing off to the right runs to the Preston Corporation engine shed where the Sentinel shunters and other equipment were then housed and maintained. [Ref query 2384]
