Black 5 44788 stands on the centre road at Carlisle on 27 July 1963 waiting to take forward an arrival from the south. The train in question is the 1X91 summer Saturday relief Llandudno - Glasgow Central. The locomotive is carrying a 65F (Grangemouth) shed plate, presumably having been pressed into service to help out on a busy summer Saturday.
