High Level Bridge

Seen beyond the deck of the Tyne Bridge a Northern Class 156 Sprinter, on a short working from Newcastle to Metro Centre, sets out across the High Level Bridge on 26th June 2017. Built in 1928 the classic Tyne Bridge was restored to its original green colour (with liberal splashes of white Kittiwake guano) in the 1980s after many years painted in blue and red.
