Hesselby Bangård

Ordered from Henschel & Sohn of Cassel, 2-8-0 loco No. 18152 Dalhem was built in 1920. Post-Great War hyperinflation in Germany meant that, as the Reichsmark devalued, so the deposit paid for this loco eventually covered not only its full purchase price but also allowed the private railway, Slite-Roma Jerväg (SlRJ), to buy other rolling stock.
Here the loco has returned light engine from Roma (at the far end of the current line) due to the risk of lineside fires. For a shot of the loco hauling the train see image 60090.
