Bishops Nympton and Molland
A peculiar queue of abandoned caravans and cars stretches along the track bed of the former Taunton-Barnstaple line at Bishops Nympton and Molland station on 11th September 1976. It was as if holiday motorists had tried to use the disused railway as an alternative to the congested roads and come to grief. Substantial holiday traffic had indeed come this way in the past, but on rails until the line closed in 1966. [Ref query 1125]
