Shawfair
The ScotRail 0828 ex-Tweedbank pulls away from the Shawfair stop and heads for Newcraighall on 3 August 2017. It will soon pass the Biogen food waste recycling plant over on the left beyond the bridge, built on the north west corner of the old Millerhill marshalling yard. Meantime, taking shape on the right of the picture, is the new Edinburgh and Midlothian Recycling and Energy Recovery Centre, under construction on another part of the former yard further to the south. This will replace the current refuse handling depot at Powderhall. Good to see what's left of the old yard isn't going to waste... (sorry about that).
