Then and Now comparison of Preston Corporation Locomotive Workshops, seen here on 15th November 2017. This fine structure was opened in 1985 to service the three resident Sentinel diesel shunters of the dock system when the surviving line was realigned to the south side of the dock See image 56523. It replaced a workshop situated roughly where the exchange sidings are now located. Although still rail connected it isn't used by the Ribble Steam Railway and remains as a workshop facility with what is now Preston City Council.
