David Hindle's new book, Enjoying the Cumbrian Coast Railway, will be published in December 2017. See image 61899. Currently the best way to enjoy the route is on one of the Class 37 hauled passenger trains, but only until January 2019. The DBSO is leading this set along the exposed single track section at Parton, with the locomotive providing the sound effects at the rear. St. Bees Head can be seen in the distance as the train runs south heading for Barrow-in-Furness on 13th November 2017.
