The line between Parton and Harrington has the Irish Sea on one side and crumbling cliffs on the other. Part of this stretch was reduced to single line a number of years ago to ease maintenance. 37401 propels 2C34 Carlisle to Barrow along the single line section, which has a 15mph speed limit, on 13th November 2017.
