Preston (Ribble Branch)
The bitumen tankers might be empty but it is still impressive to see a Class 60 lift fourteen of them up the 1:29 of the Preston Docks Branch, especially on a damp morning. Colas 60021 negotiates the sharp curves that make this gradient even more difficult as it sets out on the first stage of the journey back to the east coast on 14th December 2017.
