Hest Bank
Network Rail have applied to Lancaster City Council for permission to demolish Hest Bank signal box. It was opened on 22nd December 1958, replacing an LNWR box on the opposite side of the crossing, but will not see its 60th birthday. An Edinburgh to Euston Pendolino passes on a frosty 11th January 2018.
