The Indian Pacific heads out of Perth on 25th February 2018 on its weekly journey to Sydney, sixty five hours away. The train leaves Perth on Sunday and arrives in Sydney on Wednesday and comprises up to 30 coaches plus motorail wagons. Diesel electric NR 25, one of five dedicated to this train, is the loco in charge and the route includes the world record longest straight - 297 miles across the Nullabor Plain.
