The limitations of the lens on my phone have left this rare survivor 'apparelled in celestial light'. What is it? A pole with bracket for a totem, complete with carved wooden finial. Such things were not common as there was usually some existing structure (or usually, lamppost) to attach the bracket to. See image 27208.
