Nobody has caught a train here since 1962. However not many caught one before then either, as this face was for Edinburgh Princes Street only a few hundred yards away and trams and buses on Dalry Road were plentiful and cheaper. The other face of this island platform has not survived, presumably as it got in the way of the 1974 West Approach Road (background) on the course of the main line.
