Niddrie South Junction
Immediately after leaving Newcraighall Station northbound, trains pass through Niddrie South Junction before either branching left trowards Niddrie West or taking the single line north towards Brunstane and Portobello. The fact that the split takes place just before the bridge necessitates a wider deck than normal, given it carries all three tracks. View east along Newcraighall Road on Sunday 10 June 2018 just as the 0845 ex-Tweedbank runs onto the bridge. A pedestrian entrance to Newcraighall Park & Ride is located centre right.
