Kames Gunpowder Works
The Kames Gunpowder Mills were a dangerous place to work and it is estimated that between thirty and forty people were killed there during the years of operation. This plaque by the B8000 road records the names of those known to have died at the works but there will be others whose names are not known. 6th April 2018.
