Preston
From the May 2018 timetable change bay platform 4C at Preston sees regular use with hourly trains from East Lancashire terminating here and then forming Ormskirk services. However, 19th June 2018 being a day of strike action on Northern, 142040 arrived from Burnley and was promptly switched off. 156426 left for Manchester Airport at the head of a six-coach train.
