Bamber Bridge
Stanier 8F 2-8-0 no.48151 accelerates 'The Brief Encounter' railtour after having being checked by signals at Bamber Bridge. Making an impressive sight the driver of the spotless 8F was no doubt hoping to get a clear run up the bank to Hoghton. The tour, organised by Carnforth Station Heritage Centre, was a circular run from Carnforth to Carnforth via Preston, Blackburn and Hellifield.
