Bamber Bridge
Bamber Bridge SB, relegated to the status of a gate box back in the 1970s with the Preston area resignalling has in the last few weeks received some extra support in the shape of a steel frame. Local reports have suggested that the box has developed a list towards the tracks and hence the Meccano style structure to prevent any further movement. One local correspondent has suggested that the leaning signalbox of Bamber Bridge won't get the same tourist attention as another leaning structure in Pisa.
