Shepherd's Bush Market

Metropolitan Locomotive No. 1 passing Shepherd's Bush Market station during the 150th Anniversary of this section of the London Underground, on 9th August 2014. This was originally a joint railway from Westbourne Park to Hammersmith served at first by both GWR and Metropolitan Railway trains and was built with a mixed gauge to accomodate the wider GWR trains. These ceased after only five years in 1869 and the broad gauge rails were removed, resulting in the wide space between the tracks at this and the other stations between Hammersmith and Westbourne Park.
