Edinburgh Waverley
The eastern end of Waverley 'sub' platforms 8 & 9, seen from the car park in April 2014. On the left is the rear of the 12.07 service to Milngavie, the remaining 5 coaches of which are occupying platform 8(W). Which is just as well, since the 12.00 arrival from North Berwick is currently approaching platform 8(E) behind the camera. While there is only one island platform located outside the station's south wall there are two separate access stairways visible in the photograph. That on the far right was built hard against the wall in 2006 to provide access to the new platform 10, located on the other side see image 62457.
