I did a double take when I saw the exterior of this coach displayed in the Israel Railway Museum. Can it be? From the inside there was no mistaking the classic interior of an ex-BR MkIIC. This was apparently one of a fleet of eight purchased second hand from BR in 1977 and modified for use in Israel. I do not know if any others have survived.
