Brackmills Level Crossing
Looking the other way from see image 34291 towards Northampton, the railway is clearly not ready for use any time soon. The level crossing has been removed, but there are still rails on this side. Updated November 2019: there are now 14,000 people working on the Brackmills industrial estate. In a masterpiece of planning, they all start and finish at the same times - it can take a car driver an hour just to get off the estate. A number of solutions to this problem are being considered - all based on unrestricted and exclusive use of cars. A shame, really.
