Hardengreen goods was on the east side of the Waverley route, opposite the signal box and Peebles line divergence. The site of it is now occupied by a small industrial estate separated from the Borders Railway by an annoyingly high fence. The name Hardengreen must almost have disappeared for a while, but is now attached to several entities which did not exist in 1969. The familiarity is apparently not shared, however, by this signmaker. I wonder if the estate got something knocked off the bill?
