Claughton
A slightly hazy view of the Claughton Aerial Ropeway, top to bottom, looking across from the Aughton side of the Lune Valley in August 2019. Claughton brick works can be seen at the bottom with the trackbed of the Wennington to Lancaster line running across the fields towards it. The lower wheelhouse is the slightly taller building near the centre of the photo. The cables can just been seen heading up hill across the fields from there and then take a line through the trees on their way to the clay pit wheelhouse, the grey building top left of the photo.
