Chester
67023 just arrived at Chester station with UK Railtours' excursion from Peterborough, on the afternoon of Saturday, 21st March 2015. I joined at Finsbury Park and the train then traversed the restored Belle Isle Curve up to the London Overground east of Camden Road and then took the normally freight-only link through the disused remains of Primrose Hill station to join the WCML just beyond. Some passengers on this excursion opted to spend the afternoon exploring the historic City of Chester, not an unreasonable thing to do, but most joined the long line-up of coaches taking them across the border into Wales for a visit to the Llangollen Railway.
