Morningside Road
A familiar sight for railway photographers, this view shows the entrance to the footbridge over the South Sub between Balcarres Street (behind camera) and the lane leading to Maxwell Street. Despite the fact that this bridge was built in association with the railway it was not a station footbridge; its function was and still is to preserve the right-of-way between South Morningside and North Morningside.
