Railway Touring Company return excursion from Rowsley South to Ealing Broadway, now back on National Rail metals, passing Matlock Bath station, looking back north, on 4th June 2017, 168 years to the day since this reprieved section of the former Midland Main Line from Derby to Manchester opened on 4th June 1849. Buried in undergrowth on the right but out of view are the remains of the former up platform, the line having been singled north of Ambergate with no passing loops between there and Matlock itself.
