Birkenhead Woodside
The floating landing stage at Birkenhead (Woodside) seen from Mersey ferry 'Royal Iris' on 1st March 2020. To the left of the pier is the site of the GWR Woodside station, which as late as 1967 had six through trains to Paddington each day but closed that same year with express services concentrated across the water in Lime Street. To the right of the picture the CLC Goods Station at Shore Road can also be seen behind the riverside buildings.
