Garstang Town

View towards the main line junction on the old G&KER embankment at Garstang on 4th April 2020. The last goods train left Garstang Town in 1965 so it is now fifty five years since the small bridge in the foreground bore the weight of a Lostock Hall Black 5 or 8F on the trip working. Diesels were never used on the branch and this section of trackbed is now a concessionary footpath. Photo ancillary to daily exercise walk during corona virus emergency.
