This photograph, looking North from Luton station footbridge, (see image 47036 for an opposed view) will be a bit of a shock for those who knew this location with two stations in parallel. An up EMU approaches the Midland Railway station on the right, while the turning area in the centre of the picture is on the site of the former Great Northern tracks. The busway laid on the trackbed to Dunstable can be seen rising rapidly in the left background.
