Black 5 44993 accelerates past the deserted Stirling engine shed in August 1966 with the passenger portion of the 3.30pm postal from Aberdeen, destined for Glasgow Buchanan St. In the background, heading towards the station, is a Sulzer Type 2 diesel on a local service from Edinburgh or Glasgow to Stirling.
