Fairburn 2-6-4T 42126 has just passed the closed Crow Road station on 11th September 1963 with empty stock, and is about to enter the tunnel underneath Hyndland station. The points in the foreground mark the start of the spur from the headshunt of Partickhill Goods yard to the ex-Caledonian line.
