Cabin [Tram]
The Blackpool Tramway was closed during the Covid lockdown but reopened on 19th July 2020, although initially trams cease running in the early evening. Just after the end of services on 28th July, engineering car 754 ventured out for evening maintenance work and is seen here climbing away from the Cliffs Hotel stop towards Cabin. This versatile vehicle can draw current through trolley poles but here was growling up the hill on its built-in diesel generator. What looks like a roof pantograph at first glance is actually a folding, wooden inspection platform.
