Thornton Junction
In a chilly October rainstorm, there was no inclination to leave the shelter of the station buildings on the island platform at Thornton Junction. But a WD 2-8-0 90168 could just about be photographed making its way along the avoiding line with a coal train. An unidentified J37 approaches from the opposite direction with a mixed goods coming from the Fife Coast route. 1st October 1965.
