Eastleigh Shed
BR Standard Class 4MT 2-6-0 76063, seen on Eastleigh shed in April 1967. It didn't have much time left as a complete loco, as the next time I saw it was four months later when it was noted standing in Cashmores yard in Newport, South Wales awaiting its turn for scrapping. The loco was built at Doncaster Works, and fitted with the larger capacity BR1B tender for working on the Southern Region routes. It entered service in 1956; having a working life of just over 10 years. See image 31425 for the loco to its rear.
