Arram

Arram Station is sited on a country road leading to the remote Arram village and is located to the rear of, and connected by a lane to, the Leconfield Airfield and army base north of Beverley. The platforms are offset either side of a level crossing, with the southbound platform and station house to the south of the crossing. I had just parked up and was approaching the crossing when the barriers were activated and a northbound ex Scotrail Class 170 3-car DMU approached at speed before I turned on the camera. No sooner had this passed, and I had starting walking onto the southbound platform, before the barriers came down again for a further ex Scotrail 170 to race through southbound. 170460 is seen approaching the level crossing heading for Beverley and Hull.
