Walkden
The entrance to Walkden station in April 2021. This leads via two flights of stairs to the island platform with its surviving L&YR canopy. The ticket office is on a corridor between the two sets of stairs and anyone seeking to make Walkden more accessible will need an ingenious solution. The bridge on the left carries the line to Manchester. That on the right used to carry three sets of tracks but now just the Wigan line.
