Lady Victoria Colliery

The wide railway bridge built by the Lothian Coal Company to bring coal across the A7 and into the north side of Lady Victoria is long gone, although remains survive on both sides of the road. This is the east side, photographed on 9 May 2021, with the abutment cut back and adapted to carry a stairway up to the old trackbed (now a public footpath). The sign reads 'PATH - Bryans 1 mile - Camp Wood 1 1/2 miles'.
