Shandon
The North Blyth to Fort William alumina tanks passes the site of Shandon station on 6 July 2021 with 66736 in charge again. The station had been an island platform like many others on the West Highland but after closure and demolition, the loop was removed and the track given a straight alignment. The loco is located approximately where the steps down to the underpass used to be located on the platform. On the left the back of the loading bank can just be made out amongst the undergrowth while on the left is the station house.
